A Career Built on Experience, Professionalism, and Service
Decades of Legal Experience. A Trusted Voice in Mediation.
Joe Casseb has built a distinguished legal career rooted in experience, professionalism, and service. A lifelong resident of San Antonio, Texas, Joe began his legal path while serving as Court Coordinator for Judge H.F. “Hippo” Garcia of the 144th District Court during and after law school. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1978 and began his career in public service, first as an Assistant District Attorney for Bexar County and later as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas.
In 1983, Joe entered private practice, focusing on civil litigation. Over time, his career evolved toward dispute resolution, and since 1997, his practice has been primarily devoted to Alternative Dispute Resolution. Through decades of work in this area, he has conducted more than 4,000 mediations and has earned the respect of attorneys and clients throughout Texas for his preparation, steadiness, and professional judgment.
Joe’s work has been recognized repeatedly within the legal profession. He has been recognized annually in ADR by Texas Super Lawyers since 2008 and by Best Lawyers since 2019. He is also a Charter Member of the Texas Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and has maintained an AV peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 1994.
In addition to his practice, Joe has remained deeply engaged in the legal and academic communities. His service has included leadership roles with the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association, the San Antonio Bar Foundation, and St. Mary’s University School of Law and its affiliated organizations.
